How to turn on safe search?

By turning on safe search functionality, you can filter out unwanted, inappropriate adult and sexual content from your search results easily.

SafeSearchEngine.com is a by default safe search engine that shows only safe search results by blocking any inappropriate adult content. It can easily be turned on all your browsers such as Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera etc. Let’s explore the steps how to turn on safe search.

Step 1: Go to SafeSearchEngine.com

Step 2: Click on the button ‘Make Default Search Engine’.

Step 3: It will redirect you to SafeSearchEngine.com browser extension pages on Chrome webstore or Mozilla Firefox add-on store. For the rest of the browsers such as Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera etc., it will take you to respective instruction pages.

Step 4: Click on ‘Add to Chrome’ or ‘Add to Firefox’ buttons.

Step 5: Click on ‘Add Extension’.

Great, now safe search functionality is turned on at your Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browsers. You can search anything, you will get all the results except unwanted and inappropriate adult search results because they are filtered out and blocked.

When you search, the following screen might appear. Just click always on ‘Keep Changes’ in that situation.

Let’s also have a quick look at how turning on safe search functionality will work and help you in blocking unsafe search content.

STEP 1: Go to your browser URL tab and make any search from there. You can also search from the ‘search box’ on the SafeSearchEngine.com screen.

STEP 2: SafeSearchEngine.com will return you all the desired results. For example, I searched ‘best schools in London’, and the search engine returned the following results.

STEP 3: However, if the user makes any inappropriate or sexual search query, the search engine will not return any search results.

STEP 4: SafeSearchEngine.com will not show any search results for sexual and inappropriate search queries. In spite of that  it will show the message that ‘sorry we don’t show the search results for unsafe search queries’.
